The Last Days are here, prepare for the end of the world.

Are you prepared for the end of the world, for the last days? For some reason people feel that they still have a whole lifetime or two to live and enjoy their new houses, new cars, new play things and vacations. Which I am all for them, but when that is all we focus on, then it is bad, because these are the last days before the end will come, and how will we spend these last days is what counts.

Why do I think these are the last days? Are you not sure if these are the last days? Even the bible states that in 2 Timothy 3:1 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."

AS you can see we can tell when it is the last days by the kind of people we see surrounding us. Every where you go, at church, at work, at school, what kind of people surround you. There was a recent trend that you have to learn how to love yourself, or you can love others... so not biblical. Because in the bible it says, romans 6 "13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness." NO where in the bible it talks about loving yourself. The only thing it mentions is love your neighbor as yourself. But that does not give us an order to go pleasure yourself, and learning to love yourself, by doing what ever bring you pleasure, to learn how you should love your neighbor.

NOw is the time to prepare, to get strong in the Lord, now is the time to love God, not yourself. God is still waiting, He is still close by, dont want for him to turn his back on you.

A lot of things will be happening all around us too, like it states In Luke 21:11

"There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven."

The clouds are gathering, the storm is brewing, it is almost here, prepare yourself to withstand all the storms of life, devastation and calamity, by being in Jesus. By loving him alone.
So I am sure a lot of people will agree with me that yes, we are living in the last days, and the end of the world is upon us, how will we live these last days. I know we still have to go to work, and do our daily life, but how do we spend our free time, do we increase in the knowledge of God, or increase our bodily pleasure?

Pursuit of God 10 years later.

Time is flying, if you can believe it, I started to write in this blog about 10 years ago or so, and looking back, I was reading my old post about pursuing God which is still powerful to me today. God is so good. He is everlasting, He is never changing. Even now as I write these words about our amazing God, tears well up in my eyes, because He has done so much, so much in my life in these 10 years. The only thing that remains the same is the goodness of God, of constant ache for Him, a constant need of Him, because He is the one who remains faithful and forgiving, and loving and never changes. God is everything in our life, from our marriage, to our children, to the weather, to our house that He provides, to the food we eat, and the health we have, everything is through Him alone, we are nothing without Him.
As I look back, I realize how much God has helped me, how much He carried me through all the pregnancies, through childbirth, through babies, and into teenagers. Now my 22 month old is a sassy 11 year old, and I have 3 more children after her. Having 6 children is still unbelievable to me. Wow. Really? Yes, they are all mine, and I wont change it for the world. Even having my 2 last babies, later in life, I am already 41, but I have a 5 month old, I still feel such love for the little babies, such blessings from their little kisses and hugs. God is good. He has blessed me extremely, He is faithful.

In conclusion I want to point out that it is not me who is pursuing God, but God is the one who is pursuing me un relentlessly, every time I forget and go side tracking, He guides me back, back to Himself. God is good. Did I already mention that? He is.

Happy marriage is made by God.

Marriage is a long road to happiness. It can start with many hurdles and obstacles, but eventually it spreads to greener pastures of enjoyment and contentment.  Life is unpredictable and when we fall in love with this specific person, it is good if both of you have the same values, same morals, and same religious background. Life has too many issues as is, without having more issues with the basics of marriage.

I was lucky to have fallen in love with a guy who was raised in a similar religion as I, and with same out look on life, like me. Looking back, I am grateful for this and acknowledge that God was very much in my life and took care of me, when I was young and lacked wisdom.

On my 18th birthday I prayed to God to give me a gift. He did, I met my future husband then. What drew me to him was that he was so serious about life and about relationships, he was 4 years older, and to an 18 year old that is incredible. The guys I knew were flirtatious and not serious to have a relationship.

We got married when I was 21, and we started our marriage with a clean slate of trust and love. God was good to us, now 20 years later, I am amazed at His provision in our life. His constant care for us, and our love that grew with the years.

If you are still single and are looking for your other half, remember to include God in your love life, He is the one who can write a beautiful love story that can last through all the obstacles, through all the problems and issues of marriage.

How to stay sane in a crazy world we live in right now.

We all know how crazy life gets sometimes, but lately, especially in 2020, it's been very stressful and scary at times. Knowing that life gets hectic, and very unpredictable we need to have a stable foundation in our life to stay strong no matter what happens.

Jesus is that foundation. He is our strong hold, he is our saneness, He is our light when it's dark around. He is our everything. I love it, that I can turn to Him in any situation, in any need, with any question. He is my answer.

He can be your answer too. He can be your guiding Light, and  your loving Friend. Come to Him, and just asking Him to help you in any situation. I know He will come through for you. He loves you, that's why.

Don't let anyone extinguish your light.

Mornings are so beautiful, so fresh and crisp. The first rays of sunshine hit the darkness of the night, they split the darkness and it has to go away. The day always wins, night can't linger.

We have a light inside of us, that points us onto the right path, into goodness, into everything that is lovely and beautiful. Do not let anyone destroy that light inside of you, by being mean, humiliating or abusive in any way to you. Do not let anyone destroy that goodness inside of you. You alone have power to decide what you want to do, not someone else for you. Do not give in to fear, to doubt, to despair and depression.

Just because someone has been mean to you and upset you in some way, don't let that situation phase you in any way. Yes, the situation is bad, but it is how you react to the situation that is in your power.

Jesus is the source of all light, goodness and healing. He is the one who can help you in any situation. He is the Healer and the guiding light. Do not let anyone take you away from the source of this amazing light.

You will overcome this. You will make it. You will survive. You will go on. Mornings always come, no matter how deep is the night. Light always wins.

Unpredictable summer.

Who knew? I mean did anyone could even fathom that this time will come in our life that we are not sure if we can have a summer vacation with all the uncertainties and so many restrictions on travel and having fun. Corona virus has really left its mark on the whole world, people are not only scared to travel, but are even scared to acknowledge each other and shaking hands is something from the past. Life is scary for some, like the elderly and the immune depressed, how will they go on?

With all the restrictions, I still want to have summer! The weather is heating up here in California, and the lakes and beaches are calling my name. Who even wants to stay home, with the air conditioner running full blast? Yes, we do need to abide by all the precautions that they recommend, but life must go on, life must be enjoyed.

Staying hydrated is very important.

It is interesting to note that our world is made 71% of water, just like our bodies are made 60% water. Our brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%, and blood is 94%. This shows that it is very important to drink water, to stay hydrated.
There are many benefits of drinking water, let me list a few, as I sip my glass of water.
  1. Water lubricates our joints.
  2. Its forms saliva and mucus. I know, so important.
  3. It keeps our skin beautiful and young.
  4. It regulates body temperature.
  5. It helps our digestive system, and gets rid of body waste.
  6. It helps us absorb nutrients and vitamins.
  7. It helps with exercise and to lose weight.
As you can see it is very important to stay hydrated, so drink up that cool glass of water.

Healthy gut diet.

It is such a hassle to be healthy and to keep your scale happy, right? But according to Brenda Watson, who wrote “Skinny Gut Diet”, it is actually very simple as long as you keep your gut happy. What??? Keep who happy? Yes, by keeping your stomach happy, will make your stomach flat too. How does it work? Very easy, listen up. By eating and drinking foods that have good, beneficial bacteria in it, will make our gut happy.
Here are six reasons why gut bacteria is so amazing:
  1. You lose weight, of course.
  2. You keep the weight off for good.
  3. It helps to reduce digestive distress and will make you regular….. I know right?
  4. It reduces silent inflammation in your body.
  5. It will improve your immune function, yea! Less times to get sick is always great, right?
  6. It will help to reduce depression and anxiety.
This is just an outline, of the basics, which is amazing as is. By eating fermented vegetables, eating lots of salads, and drinking smoothies, kombucha tea, and eating less sugar will get our gut feeling much better, in return helping us to lose weight and keep it off. Sounds good to me, right?
Healthy lifestyle is a way of life. It is not a diet that you try for a few months, but a way of living that will trigger a healthy lifestyle through out your whole life. It is important to have a healthy start from babyhood, but I know that we are not the ones who choose what our parents feed us, and how we were born into this world. The good news is it is never to late to start being healthy. Even if you are past your early years, into your later years, you are still able to start fresh and start being healthy today.

Do not be afraid.

In our current situation, with corona virus on the loose and politics running wild, we can easily be scared what the future can hold for us. Our life is unpredictable, people get more upset with everything that they are unable to control, like the quarantine, losing their job, not having enough money to pay the bills, with bad health, and soaring prices on everything that them may need to buy. I have some great news for you, there is an amazing insurance policy that everyone can have, and it is free to us. It will not only protect your family, your health, your car, your house, but also it can give you a future.

Our future is set in Jesus, He is our path, our Life, our Light, He will guide us and protect us. He is our Truth and He will set you free. He is love everlasting and He is the one that gives us our future. No matter what happens, we will overcome with Jesus. He is our Lord and Savior.

If you don't know Him personally, you should just ask Him to come to your house, and fill it with peace. He will do that, and much more than what we ask Him for.

Importance of drinking water.

I am sure we all know that water is the best thirst quencher there is. But many times we forget to drink any, or drink other beverages, and only remember to drink water, when the thirst is bad. It is easy to get dehydrated, especially here in hot summer months of California. When dehydrated we can feel tired, have more cravings for sweets, and may get a headache. That's why it is very important to start your day with water, to help not only with thirst, but to prevent other body ailments.

Jesus gives us water to drink too, only it is spiritual water for our soul. It can fill us to the brim with his love and kindness and then we can pour it out on others. If there is nothing to give, then maybe we need that infilling by the Holy Spirit, that provides us with wisdom, guidance, and that special love that only He can give us. We need to drink this water every morning as well, first thing before we start our day, then the day goes right, and we are able to accomplish more, instead of feeling rushed and unprepared, or overwhelmed.

Try not to get dehydrated, physically or spiritually, it can be devastating in both cases.

Myself and motherhood.

Everyone knows that becoming a mother is an amazing experience, I should know, I have 6 children. The only thing no one tells you is that a lot of time, with each child you feel like there is no more of self left, except being a mommy 24 hours/7 days a week. Children bring a lot of joy to us, a lot of challenges, and a lot of pain.
I keep telling myself that with each child, with each stage of their life, it is changing so fast, babyhood, moves into teenagers, into adults, that we are amazed to see how everyone have grown. It is like you wake up one morning and stare at those rowdy teenagers at your breakfast table and wonder where did they come from, because they were just little ones, just not long ago, throwing food on the floor, and spitting, and diaper changing, but now they are grown, and ready to depart for college. Wow, it is amazing how time flies.
If you are going through hard times with your little ones, or big kids, know that everything will pass, and then one day when you are old and gray and only are able to see your grand kids once in awhile, you will remember these rowdy times, these tears and hugs, and know that it was all worth it.

Life is unpredictable.

Last night the wind was howling, the trees were swaying as I was trying to go to sleep, even though the day before it was very warm and sunny. Our life can be very unpredictable, and can change just like the weather unexpectedly.

Sometimes a storm can roll in, or a sudden tornado can bring a lot of damage into our life. The only stable foundation is our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is always present, always there, He is our source of peace and healing.

When I am feeling overwhelmed, I run to Him to get that amazing sweet peace that only He can pour into my soul. Then I am refreshed and can go on with my life

A long time ago.

It happened many moons back, when I opened my blog. I was super excited about it, and enjoyed writing and keeping up with it. Things happened, like having a few children, moving to a new house, continued to work full time, and somehow the time slipped away from me and the blog was forgotten. Now that I am back, I realized that life can be as busy as can be, but things we like doing still have to be done. It is hard as a mother to find time for my self, I am sure a lot of mothers can vote to that, but needing that special alone time, to write, to garden, to photograph, to create, what ever it may be... we need it a lot.

With corona virus happening this year, we are quarantined here in California and told to protect our selves and our families by staying home. But being cupped up and not able to do the basics that we are used to do, brings a lot of frustrations to life. Frustrations with husband, with children, with the weather, with little things that are driving us crazy, when in previous times, may not even registered with us. But life must go on, spring and summer will not wait for anyone, and I feel that things have to expand and we will learn from this to spread our wings to fly.
