When you are feeling down, feeling sad, there are some things in life that will cheer you up. The first is talking to God, He understands all our feelings. The second thing is smelling the flowers. Every spring we get to smell the sweet honey smell of orange blossoms, they do wonders for uplifting the mood.
I bet everyone has smelled the wonderful smell of a delicious rose. Sweet, perfumed, with a hint of spice. God did make everything beautiful. God does love beauty, wonderful smells, and the pleasure of watching plants and people grow.
So when you are feeling down, feeling sad, struggling from certain problems or illness, cry out to God, and when you see a beautiful flower, know that is for you. For your comfort and joy.
To see a world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour.

Sunflowers.
Why are sunflowers called that? I mean a sun flower... interesting.. is it because they are yellow?

The benefits of gardening.
Its good to have a garden.
Its very healthy to grow your own vegies and fruit.
Its very educational for children to see that from a tiny seed they can grow a harvest.
Its good for the enviroment to grow vegies instead of just grass.
Its good for the soul to calm away anxiety, worry or stress.
Its good for the family, to dig in dirt, plant seeds, water the garden, colect the harvest, instead of watching tv.
It saves money, you dont have to visit the grocery aisle in your grocery store.
It gives your imagination a workout, when you get a LOT of zucchini, and dont know what to do with it. :)
It gives a good workout for your body as well and gives you an excuse to be outside in the fresh air, enjoying nature.
I am sure there are many other benefits of gardening which I cant remember at this moment, but you see its very good for you! :)

Wild plants.
According to the Wikipedia, aloe has about 500 species or so. I have one of those prickly plants... a beautiful wild aloe in my own front yard. It blooms so prettily every spring.
I also have this wild plant, that I think a lot of you have in your yards as well.:)

Yes, its Spring.
I believe spring is here. The days are warmer, even though the nights are still cold. My days are filled with little children, tiny seeds, garden dirt, good smelling desserts, trying to keep the house clean and organized. I love spending time outdoors, when the weather is nice and sunny. We went to the local garden park. The flowers are blooming! So beautiful.
God has created everything so beautiful. There are so many varieties of flowers and trees and herbs and grasses. Yes I am truly overwhelmed by Gods creative hand.

A yellow surprise.
Every day has a gift of its own.
I got an early surprise the other day, something yellow and unexpected. It was buried there last year, and finally as the warm sun and rain did its job, the yellow heads appeared. It was a nice surprise for me to see the flowers, especially with the fact that I forgot that the bulbs got planted there last year. Amazing how nature just does what it knows best. As the bulb sat dead and dry over the hot summer, rainy fall, and cold, windy winter and surprising me early this season.
God gave us early yellow flowers to inform us that spring is trully coming, and winter is coming to an end.

Colorful life.
I love my life to have color. Color is a beautiful thing. Thank you Lord that we have eyes to see the beautiful color all around us.
~~He makes me lie down in green pastures.~~
Sometimes life is green. Green grass, green leaves, green foods. Awaiting life to change colors.Sometimes I get to see some purple color, with light green sunshine streaming through.
~~ Her clothing is fine linen and purple.~~~
You see purple is good, especially when it turns to almost blue. Blue flowers, blue sky, blue birds.
Pink rose bud, the last of the season. Soon winter winds will blow all the petals away.
~~I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.~~~
The gentle beauty of yellow and white, is truly a love gift from our Lord.
~~The wings of a dove covered with silver~~~
The orange and red are truly the best colors yet! God did create everything lovely, if only we stop and open our eyes to see, open our ears to listen, to breathe in the fresh crisp air around us and truly enjoy what is right in front of us....:)
~~Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us.~~

The last harvest from our garden.
The top photo is the sunflower seeds.
The top photo are dried flowers... will get seeds to plant flowers for next year.
The bottom photo are the actual flowers, still blooming even now, while the weather slowly turns colder and fall like.
Still beautiful in all seasons. Even me pregnant and swollen, but beautiful in growing a child within me. At least thats what my husband always tells me. ;)
24 weeks and counting.
