The Last Days are here, prepare for the end of the world.

Are you prepared for the end of the world, for the last days? For some reason people feel that they still have a whole lifetime or two to live and enjoy their new houses, new cars, new play things and vacations. Which I am all for them, but when that is all we focus on, then it is bad, because these are the last days before the end will come, and how will we spend these last days is what counts.

Why do I think these are the last days? Are you not sure if these are the last days? Even the bible states that in 2 Timothy 3:1 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."

AS you can see we can tell when it is the last days by the kind of people we see surrounding us. Every where you go, at church, at work, at school, what kind of people surround you. There was a recent trend that you have to learn how to love yourself, or you can love others... so not biblical. Because in the bible it says, romans 6 "13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness." NO where in the bible it talks about loving yourself. The only thing it mentions is love your neighbor as yourself. But that does not give us an order to go pleasure yourself, and learning to love yourself, by doing what ever bring you pleasure, to learn how you should love your neighbor.

NOw is the time to prepare, to get strong in the Lord, now is the time to love God, not yourself. God is still waiting, He is still close by, dont want for him to turn his back on you.

A lot of things will be happening all around us too, like it states In Luke 21:11

"There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven."

The clouds are gathering, the storm is brewing, it is almost here, prepare yourself to withstand all the storms of life, devastation and calamity, by being in Jesus. By loving him alone.
So I am sure a lot of people will agree with me that yes, we are living in the last days, and the end of the world is upon us, how will we live these last days. I know we still have to go to work, and do our daily life, but how do we spend our free time, do we increase in the knowledge of God, or increase our bodily pleasure?

Pursuit of God 10 years later.

Time is flying, if you can believe it, I started to write in this blog about 10 years ago or so, and looking back, I was reading my old post about pursuing God which is still powerful to me today. God is so good. He is everlasting, He is never changing. Even now as I write these words about our amazing God, tears well up in my eyes, because He has done so much, so much in my life in these 10 years. The only thing that remains the same is the goodness of God, of constant ache for Him, a constant need of Him, because He is the one who remains faithful and forgiving, and loving and never changes. God is everything in our life, from our marriage, to our children, to the weather, to our house that He provides, to the food we eat, and the health we have, everything is through Him alone, we are nothing without Him.
As I look back, I realize how much God has helped me, how much He carried me through all the pregnancies, through childbirth, through babies, and into teenagers. Now my 22 month old is a sassy 11 year old, and I have 3 more children after her. Having 6 children is still unbelievable to me. Wow. Really? Yes, they are all mine, and I wont change it for the world. Even having my 2 last babies, later in life, I am already 41, but I have a 5 month old, I still feel such love for the little babies, such blessings from their little kisses and hugs. God is good. He has blessed me extremely, He is faithful.

In conclusion I want to point out that it is not me who is pursuing God, but God is the one who is pursuing me un relentlessly, every time I forget and go side tracking, He guides me back, back to Himself. God is good. Did I already mention that? He is.

Happy marriage is made by God.

Marriage is a long road to happiness. It can start with many hurdles and obstacles, but eventually it spreads to greener pastures of enjoyment and contentment.  Life is unpredictable and when we fall in love with this specific person, it is good if both of you have the same values, same morals, and same religious background. Life has too many issues as is, without having more issues with the basics of marriage.

I was lucky to have fallen in love with a guy who was raised in a similar religion as I, and with same out look on life, like me. Looking back, I am grateful for this and acknowledge that God was very much in my life and took care of me, when I was young and lacked wisdom.

On my 18th birthday I prayed to God to give me a gift. He did, I met my future husband then. What drew me to him was that he was so serious about life and about relationships, he was 4 years older, and to an 18 year old that is incredible. The guys I knew were flirtatious and not serious to have a relationship.

We got married when I was 21, and we started our marriage with a clean slate of trust and love. God was good to us, now 20 years later, I am amazed at His provision in our life. His constant care for us, and our love that grew with the years.

If you are still single and are looking for your other half, remember to include God in your love life, He is the one who can write a beautiful love story that can last through all the obstacles, through all the problems and issues of marriage.

How to stay sane in a crazy world we live in right now.

We all know how crazy life gets sometimes, but lately, especially in 2020, it's been very stressful and scary at times. Knowing that life gets hectic, and very unpredictable we need to have a stable foundation in our life to stay strong no matter what happens.

Jesus is that foundation. He is our strong hold, he is our saneness, He is our light when it's dark around. He is our everything. I love it, that I can turn to Him in any situation, in any need, with any question. He is my answer.

He can be your answer too. He can be your guiding Light, and  your loving Friend. Come to Him, and just asking Him to help you in any situation. I know He will come through for you. He loves you, that's why.

Don't let anyone extinguish your light.

Mornings are so beautiful, so fresh and crisp. The first rays of sunshine hit the darkness of the night, they split the darkness and it has to go away. The day always wins, night can't linger.

We have a light inside of us, that points us onto the right path, into goodness, into everything that is lovely and beautiful. Do not let anyone destroy that light inside of you, by being mean, humiliating or abusive in any way to you. Do not let anyone destroy that goodness inside of you. You alone have power to decide what you want to do, not someone else for you. Do not give in to fear, to doubt, to despair and depression.

Just because someone has been mean to you and upset you in some way, don't let that situation phase you in any way. Yes, the situation is bad, but it is how you react to the situation that is in your power.

Jesus is the source of all light, goodness and healing. He is the one who can help you in any situation. He is the Healer and the guiding light. Do not let anyone take you away from the source of this amazing light.

You will overcome this. You will make it. You will survive. You will go on. Mornings always come, no matter how deep is the night. Light always wins.

Do not be afraid.

In our current situation, with corona virus on the loose and politics running wild, we can easily be scared what the future can hold for us. Our life is unpredictable, people get more upset with everything that they are unable to control, like the quarantine, losing their job, not having enough money to pay the bills, with bad health, and soaring prices on everything that them may need to buy. I have some great news for you, there is an amazing insurance policy that everyone can have, and it is free to us. It will not only protect your family, your health, your car, your house, but also it can give you a future.

Our future is set in Jesus, He is our path, our Life, our Light, He will guide us and protect us. He is our Truth and He will set you free. He is love everlasting and He is the one that gives us our future. No matter what happens, we will overcome with Jesus. He is our Lord and Savior.

If you don't know Him personally, you should just ask Him to come to your house, and fill it with peace. He will do that, and much more than what we ask Him for.

Life is unpredictable.

Last night the wind was howling, the trees were swaying as I was trying to go to sleep, even though the day before it was very warm and sunny. Our life can be very unpredictable, and can change just like the weather unexpectedly.

Sometimes a storm can roll in, or a sudden tornado can bring a lot of damage into our life. The only stable foundation is our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is always present, always there, He is our source of peace and healing.

When I am feeling overwhelmed, I run to Him to get that amazing sweet peace that only He can pour into my soul. Then I am refreshed and can go on with my life

Anxiety among beauty.

Blackberry bushes grow in our yard. This year we have lots of pretty flowers on them, for a nice harvest come July! I love their beauty, don't you? Such gentleness among the thorns. Sometimes life is a bit on the prickly side, with many problems, many things that may keep us awake at night. But just like a pretty white flower among the thorny bush, there is always hope. Hope is in God alone. He is the one who can keep our life afloat, keep us going forward with strength and joy.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The pursuit of God.

Thanksgiving has come and gone, with leftovers of turkey, mashed potatoes and appetizers stored in the fridge. The blessing of getting together with family and friends has turned out to be a great success, with much laughter, loud discussions, and children screams, as they run around, bellies full of turkey, chocolate and sweets. Everything turned out very nice, if you dont count the slightly burnt turkey, the spilled juice over the childrens table, or the garbage can overflowing with many plastic dishes, and leftovers spilling on the kitchen floor. (Not counting a 22 month old clinging to me, wanting to be held and carried as I carried dishes and hot tea to the table.)

Lately I have been wondering on how to serve God, how to seek Him in my everyday life. It seems like when I have to work, and do my daily duties, I seem to forget that God exists, I concentrate on my daily task at hand and forget that an amazing God is close by my side. I forget to seek Him in my every day life, and only when I am at church on my knees that I realize how the week has passed in so much confusion, so much bussiness and hardly any seeking after God at all. I feel drained and tired by the end of the week, I feel like I am missing God so badly, I havent experienced Him all week with the bussiness of everyday life. It makes me sad that the big portion of the week has passed by and it seems like it is all such a waste of time.

I have been reading this interesting book and wanted to share a little bit of it with you. Its called 'The pursuit of God, by A.W. Tozer,' here is what I read this morning:

'We can meet this successfully only by the exercise of an aggressive faith. We must offer all our acts to God and believe that He accepts them. Then hold firmly to that position and keep insisting  that every act of every hour of the day and night be included in that transaction. Keep reminding God in our times of private prayer that we mean every act for His glory; then supplement those times by a thousand thought-prayers as we go about the job of living. Let us practice the fine art of making every work a priestly ministration. Let us believe that God is in all our simple deeds and learn to find Him there.'

That really openened my eyes to the amazing chance at living our everyday life for the glory of God, isnt it a wonderful opportunity to include Him and bring more praise to His holy name?

I need You.

I need you Lord. When it’s dark outside as I drive to work and only stars glister in the black sky. When it’s dark inside my soul and I can’t seem to find a way.

I need you Lord today, for you to touch me and hold me close. I need you when I feel sad and empty, when I feel confused and not sure how to make the right decision.

I need you Lord, when my little ones are sleeping peacefully in their beds and when they are jumping up and down on the couch. When they are whining, crying, and complaining.

I need you Lord, when my house seems like a hurricane of little bodies went through it. When my body is tired from a long day and my soul is weary from the lack of being close to you. I need you Lord. Come and save me.

We have relatives in high places...

My friend has an uncle who owns a condo in Hawaii, told us that we can come anytime and stay in his condo.... My husband has a cousin who lives in Israel and last time they talked told us that we should come for a visit and stay in their house... Also, we have some distant relatives in Argentina, in San Francisco and other places. Some are very distant and we never communicate with them, some are nice, while others are strangers.... Its always nice to have relatives all over to be able to go and visit them, to stay with them, to safe money on accommodations.... Its also nice in troubling times when something happens, they are there to help out, to lend a comforting hand, to give you sometimes -unwanted advise... but its always nice to have family support, even if they are distant cousins.

The other day I read a passage in the bible that really touched my heart, I guess before I used to read that but never really stopped to think about it. But this time I felt blessed to have it in the bible.

"31Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. 32A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you."
33"Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked.
34Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! 35Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother." Mark 3:31-34

Amazing! If we do God's will, we are a sister or a brother of Jesus! Imagine having a close relative who lives in the highest, most awesome places you can think off. If that's the case then it means that the creator of all, the powerful God is my Daddy!!!!!!!! Wow, I love it. And He loves me.... and you.

God is in control no matter what!!

My life is hard sometimes. I am sure I am not the only one…The road gets tough. I complain, I cry, I rebel but nothing I do will change my circumstances until God chooses to change them for me. Knowing that He is the one in control gives me a sense of relief, of wonder and hope. For He is a loving father, and knows my hearts desire.

My health is not as it used to be. I work full time and my hearts desire is to be a stay at home mommy to my 3 little girls. My husband and I don’t see eye to eye on this subject. But knowing that it is in Gods hand, makes me feel better. He does have a bigger plan for everything in my life. I read a story somewhere recently about a lady who had cancer, and was told that she may not make it. She had lots of scars from all kinds of treatments, bald head from radiation.... in her story she said that everything that happens in our life is Gods way of teaching us to be better, stronger, and more christian in our walk with him. That every scar and every tear is a way for us to draw closer to God, to lean on him, to pray to him, for he is there for us no matter what. For everything that happens, there is a higher reason. A bigger plan that God unfolds.

I am learning to be content in every day life. With all its ups and downs. My most precious things in my life are my darling little girls, my husband, my health... and everything else are blessings that we are blessed with each minute of our life.

The other day I was dressing my 2 year old into a dress that my 5 year old used to wear, when she saw the dress she said to her sister.
-“you see Odelia, I used to wear that dress, now it got small, so you get to wear it, and then it will get even smaller and the baby will get to wear it as well.” Isn’t that just too cute?
I enjoy my little baby how she lifts her little chubby legs up in the air and lays there like that, tries to sit up …its hilarious. Kids are given to us as little blessings- to teach us more patience, to be more generous, less selfish, lets us be a better person, for we do try to model a better behavior so our kids would follow in our footsteps, as you know they copy everything...;)

A city where you could settle...

Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle.

They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle.

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.

He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains.

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men....

(Psalm 107:4-15)

The why, the when, the who...

On earth there is no heaven, but there are pieces of it.
Jules Renard

Why is that when I watch the ocean on TV, it doesn't affect me or touch me as it would if I was walking down the sandy beach, with salty spray in my face?

Why is it that that when I drive down a lovely street I don't feel it as if I was walking down it enjoying the wind, the trees, the sunshine?

Why is that when I see someones child, I miss my own? When I work full time it still breaks my heart to see little kids enjoy time with their moms, when I have to work, and not see them until evenings?

Why is that when I hear the Gods book being read in church, it doesn't fill me as much as if I was reading it myself?

Why is that I need the love, the hugs, the kisses from my loved ones, to survive the struggles I am going through?

Why is that a child's little hands can erase the stress from a whole day?

So many why's... to know the truth, I open my eyes and see You.... my answer to all my questions.

How delightful!

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:2
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

What does this mean? How do I delight myself in the Lord? Does it mean like I delight myself in a good quality chocolate and a hot cup of green tea? Or a good mocha with whipped cream on top? Or like I delight in a hot, aromatic bubble bath, with scented candles all around me? Or how I delight in going faraway places and seeing different beautiful things? What does it mean to delight in his word, and in the Lord and meditate on it day and night? That’s what He is asking us to do, to delight in Him.
In the dictionary the word 'delight' means: Great pleasure, joy. Amazing that God wants us to enjoy Him and his word so much...

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverb 3:6

What does this mean? Does it mean I have to stop what I am doing and look up to Him? In between my dealings with my girls, in between cooking breakfast or lunch? When I am driving somewhere and stuck in traffic? Or falling asleep from exhaustion when I am nursing my little one? Yep, we do need to look up at Him wherever we are and whatever we are doing. Its seems very simple right? It takes a certain mindset, that’s for sure, and just being aware of what I am doing at every moment.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.” Psalm 32:8

How do I know if He is guiding my path? How do I even know which way I am going? I do know that, we all need to be going someplace and not be standing still.

“O taste and see that the Lord is good” Psalm 34:8

How do we taste our Lord? To me tasting something usually means eating food, like good chocolate, good wine, good cheese, etc. Usually when I taste a certain food, it tells me if its good, or bad. Maybe next time I am eating something and tasting, I will remember this verse, and what it means to taste the Lord.

“And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation.” Psalm 35: 9

I like being joyful instead of being sad, depressed or glum. I bet we all want to be joyful instead of feeling down, but sometimes its so hard to be happy…. Instead I cry tears of sadness, despair, and fear…at least in one thing we can all be happy together, right? Lets rejoice together in our salvation!!! Lets delight in Him.
