Fall comes late to California, the leaves slowly change color as the weather turns colder with each day. By late November we get to enjoy the beauty of changing leaves, crisp air, perfect weather- not too hot, and not too cold. I am blessed to be able to live here and enjoy the beauty of the season.
I really enjoy the red, orange and yellow colors of the autumn leaves. There is just something amazing about all of nature changing, evolving into something beautiful, before it all just falls off and gets ready for cold bare winter.
To see a world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour.

Only memories remain of summer....
Summer is almost gone, only memories remain... of hot long days, blue skies, there are so many things that spell summer for us....like fresh garden vegetables...
traveling, ocean, sand, salt air....
naked feet and swimming of course....
berries from the garden and a fruit cobbler from the goodness....
summer warm evenings, sunsets...
some garden fresh cantaloupes....
some elk viewing....
more flowers in my garden....
sand dunes by the beach....
and more beautiful summer flowers... cant have too many of those:)
love summer... but its almost gone, good thing I love autumn as well...:)

Yes, its Spring.
I believe spring is here. The days are warmer, even though the nights are still cold. My days are filled with little children, tiny seeds, garden dirt, good smelling desserts, trying to keep the house clean and organized. I love spending time outdoors, when the weather is nice and sunny. We went to the local garden park. The flowers are blooming! So beautiful.
God has created everything so beautiful. There are so many varieties of flowers and trees and herbs and grasses. Yes I am truly overwhelmed by Gods creative hand.

life as we know it...
Life with a newborn is tough. Its an adjustment, especially when you go to church with all 4 kids, and your husband sits in the front of the church, while you are all the way in the back with a crying, fussing infant, who wants to nurse 24/7, a whiny 3 year old, who is going through your diaper bag, taking everything out, trying to find a bag of snacks, and two older girls who talk in church and argue over a toy, or go to the bathroom every few minutes, while I am not looking. Ahhh! An adjustment for sure.
The weather was a bit chilly, and cold, but today its sunny, with little white clouds. It may be a very good day. I need to start working in my garden, planting seeds, planting flowers, waiting for things to grow.
I went to the local small public garden a few weeks ago, the weather was so warm that day. A true spring day. Look at all the beautiful flowers I got pictures of.
Spring is all about the flowers, sun, and warm air. I guess that is why we love it so much.:)

A new day.
Every day we open our eyes its a new day! We can start fresh every morning. I opened my eyes today, the weather was beautiful, blue skies, sunshine, birds chirping, such a good day to be born. Yes, I am hoping my baby will be born today. I am getting contractions off and on, so we will see.
I was reading this book, and there was a saying in it that I really liked. Maybe you will like it too?
~~ Every day has its own gift.~~
Isn't that just so true. Sometimes the gifts we receive are not as fun, or make us happy, but I believe every gift could be for our good, for us to learn to be better, more generous, more kind, happy instead of sad. That every gift could be hiding a special something inside, that we will understand over a period of time.
Like every season has its reason. Cold air, wind, rain, snow in the winter. Sunshine, flowers, rain, green grass in the spring. Hot air, mosquitoes, gardening, swimming in the summer. And in the fall we have colorful leaves, browns, getting cold, some rain. See every season has its reason and there is a reason for each thing that happens. That is how it is with us too. Every day we can learn, or suffer. We can choose to be happy, or complain. We always have a choice. Even the bible has a saying that I love.
~~
Deu 30:19I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.~~
So you see we have the power to choose life or death everyday. Every day we make that choice. And every day there is a book that is written in heaven about our life, so that one day we will come before the Lord and Savior and he will see what he have chosen here on earth, that is what we will have in heaven too. By choosing love, kindness, generosity, soft sweet words, we automatically choose heaven and all its blessings, but when we choose to be grouchy and mean, and selfish, well then its the opposite. Its all in our choices. Lets make good, wise choices every day, so we wont be ashamed to come before God on the first day when we close our eyes here forever.

The first sign of spring.
Spring is coming! God cares about you! He knows about all your needs.
27 "And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life ? 28 "And why are you worried about clothing ? Observe how the lilies of the field grow ; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith ! 31 "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will wear for clothing?' 32 "For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things ; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 "So do not worry about tomorrow ; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ~~ Matthew 6:27-34

Snow in the woods.
We took the girls up into the mountains, into the woods to see some snow. Down in the valley where we live, we hardly ever get snow.
The first thing the oldest girls did, was making a snow angels.
The baby wasn't very trilled about snow, and wanted us to carry her all around.
