Do not be afraid.

In our current situation, with corona virus on the loose and politics running wild, we can easily be scared what the future can hold for us. Our life is unpredictable, people get more upset with everything that they are unable to control, like the quarantine, losing their job, not having enough money to pay the bills, with bad health, and soaring prices on everything that them may need to buy. I have some great news for you, there is an amazing insurance policy that everyone can have, and it is free to us. It will not only protect your family, your health, your car, your house, but also it can give you a future.

Our future is set in Jesus, He is our path, our Life, our Light, He will guide us and protect us. He is our Truth and He will set you free. He is love everlasting and He is the one that gives us our future. No matter what happens, we will overcome with Jesus. He is our Lord and Savior.

If you don't know Him personally, you should just ask Him to come to your house, and fill it with peace. He will do that, and much more than what we ask Him for.

Prickly life.

Life can be prickly sometimes. Like a desert prickly cactus. Since they grow in the hot, waterless places, they have long deep roots to be able to reach the deep water underground. I believe this is one of the Joshua Trees, that we passed driving in hot, windy Arizona. Sometime we walk through death of a loved one in our life, but there is always life around a corner.
When life is prickly, windy and dry... don't worry, there is always hope, an oasis of green, peace and water in the near future, where our feet can find rest and refreshment.

From death to life!!

He knew his friend was ill, he knew that he was dying, and he loved him very much. He waited another two days, which was very hard, but he knew it was for the glory of God. Finally the time came for him to go to his friend, his disciples were worried, afraid that the Jews would stone him. But he wasn’t afraid, he explained to them that he walks in the light, for he is light.

Sometimes we as people don’t like the light, we would rather stay in the dark. We rather hide from the light, but then we stumble and fall. Then he said that his friend is asleep and that he was going to wake him. The disciples didn’t know that he was talking about death. We as people don’t like death. To us it’s a scary, sad experience. We don’t talk about death, try not to think about it, try to ignore it. Feel uncomfortable if someone is dying, don’t really know how to feel, or what to say. But to Jesus it is like sleeping, like a dream to be awakened from.

He went to a long journey and came to his friends house. Where the sisters were crying and sad. The oldest sister came to him and said that if only he was here earlier her brother would not have died. She knew that he was the son of God, and she knew that he performed miracles. Jesus told her that he was the resurrection and the life, whoever believes in him will never die. What power we have in Jesus, knowing that if we believe in him, and he lives in us, we have resurrection and the life in us. We will never die. We should not be afraid of death, Jesus has conquered death.

Then came her sister who started to cry, as she fell at his feet, “If only you were here, my brother would not have died,” and he wept for her, for the people, for you and me, when we are sad and crying.

He went to the tomb. There was a heavy rock before the cave. A heavy stone. Before we can see a miracle we need to remove the rock of sin, a rock of darkness, or a rock of doubt from the entrance. But the oldest sister had doubt, “Lord, its been four days…” to which Jesus replied, “Just believe, and you will see the glory of God.” Sometimes we need to believe too, and we will see the glory of God, his awesome power, his healing touch, his love and kindness. Just like Martha and Mary have experienced when their dead brother came out, and was alive again.

Death.

My friends husband died last month, after fighting with cancer for the past year and a half. I went to his funeral. It was sad and touching to be there, to remember him, to see his family, to hear the great things said about him.

My distant relatives 18 month old baby boy, drowned in his family pool the past week. I did not go to his funeral, too far to travel. But my heart was broken for the parents, for the siblings who cried and wanted to know why the baby was not waking up. Its just too sad.

Life is so precious and so short, we never know what will happen to us or our loved ones. Cherish the everyday things. Don't take anything for granted.

Death is so unfair, takes precious life from our grasp. I am glad that at least knowing that if we believe in God and love Jesus with our whole heart, our soul, and our thoughts, we will see our loved ones in heaven, where we will join them too.

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

We all want to see our childrens-grandchildren.

Friday is here... made a dinner of baked chicken with potatoes, a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, sprinkled with olive oil, salt, pepper, and some balsamic vinegar. Simple and easy, that's the way I like it.

The weather is hot, and dry. The air is still. The girls helped me water the flowers, which wilted from the heat. Now, its time to relax, to drink ice-tea, and eat all kinds of goodies. I look at my girls and wonder how they will grow up, get married, and have their own children... I am not rushing them, I let them be small children for as long as possible... but I still wonder how the times will be in our children's age, when they are all grown up, and have their own children...?

Thank God that we live in a peaceful country, with no bombs blowing us to our deaths, like this morning in Indonesia. Its a scary time, we live in now. The other day on the news there was a plane that went down, killing a lot of people. My mother in law said that it is scary to fly now... but in truth, the danger lies everywhere we turn. In riding the train- it can overturn, get off the tracks... In driving a car- you can get in a car accident... In driving a bike- and get ran over by a car... Even in walking- you could be ran over as well. So, everywhere I turn there is danger. Even sleeping, who says that I will wake up tomorrow, and be OK? My uncle at age 40 had a heart attack, he survived, but not everyone does.

Life is unpredictable. Life is scary, but we don't have to be scared. Enjoy life, live it to the fullest, do good deeds, smile often, spread love to all, and have children if you can. Then a little part of you will continue living in your child even if you are not there to see them for yourself. But I do hope all of us grow old and gray and be able to enjoy the grandchildren of our children..:)
