Happy marriage is made by God.

Marriage is a long road to happiness. It can start with many hurdles and obstacles, but eventually it spreads to greener pastures of enjoyment and contentment.  Life is unpredictable and when we fall in love with this specific person, it is good if both of you have the same values, same morals, and same religious background. Life has too many issues as is, without having more issues with the basics of marriage.

I was lucky to have fallen in love with a guy who was raised in a similar religion as I, and with same out look on life, like me. Looking back, I am grateful for this and acknowledge that God was very much in my life and took care of me, when I was young and lacked wisdom.

On my 18th birthday I prayed to God to give me a gift. He did, I met my future husband then. What drew me to him was that he was so serious about life and about relationships, he was 4 years older, and to an 18 year old that is incredible. The guys I knew were flirtatious and not serious to have a relationship.

We got married when I was 21, and we started our marriage with a clean slate of trust and love. God was good to us, now 20 years later, I am amazed at His provision in our life. His constant care for us, and our love that grew with the years.

If you are still single and are looking for your other half, remember to include God in your love life, He is the one who can write a beautiful love story that can last through all the obstacles, through all the problems and issues of marriage.

Is it June already?

Wow, June came fast this year. Well this whole year is going super fast. We went to visit my parents on a long road trip all the way to MO. It was nice to see my family, my parents, their new house that they built almost by themselves. On our way back we stopped at the CA ocean, which was nice to relax before we returned to our every day life. Here was a picture of almost all of us together. My parents have 11 grand kids so far!
My girls loved playing with the white puppy.
Seeing the chickens, the ducks and collecting the eggs was an exciting thing for us city folks..:)
Some of the girl cousins sitting together, enjoying ice cream.
All together it was a good trip, and we plan to see all the family again in the near future...:)

Colorful life.

I love my life to have color. Color is a beautiful thing. Thank you Lord that we have eyes to see the beautiful color all around us.
~~He makes me lie down in green pastures.~~
Sometimes life is green. Green grass, green leaves, green foods. Awaiting life to change colors.
Sometimes I get to see some purple color, with light green sunshine streaming through.
~~ Her clothing is fine linen and purple.~~~
You see purple is good, especially when it turns to almost blue. Blue flowers, blue sky, blue birds.
Pink rose bud, the last of the season. Soon winter winds will blow all the petals away.
~~I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.~~~
The gentle beauty of yellow and white, is truly a love gift from our Lord.
~~The wings of a dove covered with silver~~~
The orange and red are truly the best colors yet! God did create everything lovely, if only we stop and open our eyes to see, open our ears to listen, to breathe in the fresh crisp air around us and truly enjoy what is right in front of us....:)
~~Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us.~~

The last harvest from our garden.

The top photo is the sunflower seeds.
The top photo are dried flowers... will get seeds to plant flowers for next year.
The bottom photo are the actual flowers, still blooming even now, while the weather slowly turns colder and fall like.
Still beautiful in all seasons. Even me pregnant and swollen, but beautiful in growing a child within me.  At least thats what my husband always tells me. ;)
24 weeks and counting.

Fall is here finally...

The nights are turning colder, the days are shorter. The sun is not as hot anymore, the wind has more bite to it. Yep, the fall season is here alright. One early morning, I went on a ride, enjoying the beauty of the season, the fresh air, the quiet and the cold. Thinking my thoughts, rain drops hitting my face and camera.
 (the first two pictures I took the day before, while we had blue skies and sunshine)
 I was dealing with some seasonal blues myself. A bit sad, a bit unhappy with the summer ending, I loved the warm air, the flowers that were blooming in my yard, the homegrown tomatoes. But with the change of the season, it all had to stop. With the rain the flowers fell, the tomatoes started to mold and stopped producing, the sunshine turned to cold rain. They call it a seasonal depression. I call it unwilling to let go of summer.
 It rained during the night, and early into the morning. You can still see the drops on the leaves and wild berries. The beauty took my breath away. Woke me up.

By taking the beauty walk, or drive this morning, it opened my eyes to the lovely colors. The royal quietness of the season, that is preparing us for the colder months. As the trees change the green appearance to an orange, red or yellow dress, makes me change my attitude and be open to new possibilities. God has truly created a lovely season. A season of colorful leaves, thankfulness and learning to let go.

Pumpkins and apples...

We took the girls to the pumpkin patch. They loved running from one pumpkin to another, while I enjoyed the clean fresh air, and the beautiful surroundings. The weather is still nice and warm, but it did get a little chilly when we were eating our sandwiches. We bought apple-berry pie, apple donuts, and apple fritters... oh they are so good. I think we will need to come back for more.
 My oldest wasn't sure which pumpkin she liked better, the green one, or the orange one. I thought the green one was kind of interesting looking...

 Beautiful orange pumpkin, a beautiful little girl, and beautiful sky...
 Picked some green apples...
 Here she goes through the orchard.
 The older girls rode on one of the ponies...
Over all it was a lovely fall day. Now I am praying for rain, I think its about time for that, all the grass is dried, and I am ready for fall like weather... How is the weather were you are?

Beautiful prayer.

Psalm 16 (One of my favorite psalms...)

1 Keep me safe, O God,
for in you I take refuge.

2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing."

3 As for the saints who are in the land,
they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.

4 The sorrows of those will increase
who run after other gods.
I will not pour out their libations of blood
or take up their names on my lips.

5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup;
you have made my lot secure.

6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.

8 I have set the LORD always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,

10 because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

11 You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Here are some pleasures that I enjoy... my children, the flowers... lovely hot summer days.

Be still.

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. ~~~~Psalm 37:7

Learning to be still and let God handle everything in my life is hard. I am usually  the one who is very impatient and want things done as soon as possible. So I guess I never learned how to be still, to be patient. To let God handle everything. But I am learning.

Learning to trust God in handling all the issues regarding my job.

Learning to wait patiently on some things I want done in my life and family.

Learning to step back and let God be the one calling all the shots, and for me to just watch. I am watching and waiting God. Let me see your amazing power work in my life.

My garden is growing so big now. So many green tomatoes... I love it. Can you see me here?

I have been quite busy for the past few months. Gardening, working full time, cleaning my house non-stop, teaching my girls their songs and verses for church. And just having a lot of family time, church time and less sleep time. But its all good.
Here is my 18 month old watering my favorite flowers...  Isn't she just too cute?

I think she is just too adorable. Makes me want to have more babies... they are just too sweet.

Fun in the sun.

We went to the park on the weekend. It was such a pretty, warm day. We all enjoyed the freedom and the fresh air. The girls sure got tired afterwards.... Just look at all the things they did.
Jumping up and down in trying to catch the limbs of a tree.
Walking up and down an old white bridge.
Running up and down the hill.

Then there was this fat old goose that the girls wanted to touch, but he hissed loudly, and we all ran away..:)

Ariana wanted to climb a tree.

And Odelia wanted to smell a flower, until she saw a black bug in it, then she changed her mind.

The baby did very good, as she sat in the stroller and watched her wild sisters run up and down the hill.

All in all it was a beautiful day, I believe spring is here!!! Especially looking at the last picture.

I hope you are getting your spring where you live, and if you dont.... Well dont despair, it will get to where you live sooner then later.
