10 year anniversary.

I have been married for ten years now.... Wow, it sure went by quick. There were a lot of lessons we learned from each other, a lot of bumps, and a lot of love. I hope the next ten years will pass with less bumps and for us to learn to love each other more each day. We took a little trip to the ocean, took a whole bunch of pretty scenery, ate at great restaurants, and slept in a lovely hotel, with a fireplace in our room. It was a nice little get away, but even then we could not spend time before we got into an argument.... good things those don't last long with us...:)

This huge park we went to, was really beautiful. We took like a hundred photos just in that one place...

I just love the ocean. Its so majestic and so peaceful at the same time.

So many photos, so many memories. Good thing I have pictures to remind me of the trip we took, and the beauty I saw, for my memory will eventually forget, but then my mind will remember when I look at these beautiful photos.

Gardening for fun.

I love gardening, and I do it as an experiment, to grow different types of vegetables, flowers, herbs, and fruits. This is my second year in gardening. This year I planted much more than last year. Last year I only had tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and some flowers. This spring I looked through many seed catalogs, and picked quite a few of different seeds. Since I love to experiment, I planted all kind of things in a small gardening area that I have and so far I am loving it. Here is some mint, it has wintered through the season, and now is bigger then ever. The green velvet leaves are sure a nice addition to my garden. I will be able to make iced tea in the summer and add a few chopped leaves of mint for flavor...:)
Here is some lavender that I planted this spring. The purple little flowers smell delicious, and they are supposed to scare the mosquitoes away. Wont that be nice?
Here are some tomatoes I planted. I have about 20 bushes of all kinds of varieties in my garden... I cant wait to gather some red, delicious fruit and make a tomato salad.... Yum!
And here are my tiny cucumber plants, still tiny and far from bearing any fruit.
My favorite is this beautiful salad mix, I have no idea the real name of it. But I do love the amazing colors of it. Then you will see some other lettuce mixes.. pretty as well.

The leaves on the beets look awesome too. I am funny, huh?
Here are some snap-peas... another favorite.

Yea, I think I got a bit carried away with my peas pictures, huh? :)
This lovely sight is a sunflower.
Corn!
And lets not forget my onions... Everyone needs onions. They are good for your health, and are awesome in tomato and cucumber salad... I think I am getting hungry again.
I believe I will need to come back to my flower garden some other time...:)
So with good soil, with plenty of compost, water, and sunshine and I hope I will have an interesting garden this year. As I said earlier I do this for fun, to show my children how everything grows, and for myself to see the awesome beauty of a garden, grown from seed. The amazing miracle of it all. :)

Should Christians watch TV?

My dream.
I know not every one would even READ this note, as I long ago realized that people tend to steer clear of things that make them in any way uncomfortable, but if you love God, and love your children, I do hope you will read this, as it changed my life.

I'd like to share my dream that I saw years ago. Back then, I had just one child. We had bought a small TV, and without realizing it, have become quite involved in it, watching it every evening, or whenever we had a moment free. Our daughter would sit with us, and watch with us whatever we were watching.

Then I started talking with my husband, I didn't think it was good that we were so involved with TV, and watching it often, and especially our daughter watching with us. We were loosing good quality time together as a family, and with God. My husband agreed with me, but didn't really do anything about it.

Every day I was getting more distressed about it, and prayed to God to help us deal with this.

One morning, I got up to help my husband get ready for work, and after he left, I went back to bed. And I saw a dream, or a vision, as some people say.

In my house, I see a man. He was horrid to look at. He was short, and had shaggy dirty clothes on him, he stood sort of bent- like an old man. He had dirty matted hair that hung to his shoulders. His face was scary, he had colorless eyes that kept twitching back and forth, and he had froth coming out of his mouth.

And instead of walking- he jumped- hopped from one place to another.

I got very upset and distressed seeing him in MY house, and opened the door, and made him leave.

He came back into the house THROUGH the walls, and no matter how much times I kept putting him outside , he kept coming back.

I was even more upset, because I couldn't get him to stay out.

Then I saw an even scarier picture. I saw the devil- for I knew by then that thats what he was- I saw him sitting on the floor, and in front of him sat my daughter, watching him, and beside her sat my future children, I saw their souls, and they were all sitting there in front of him, and he was feeding them each with a spoon.

I woke up. I was very shaken, and saw that only 10 min has passed since I let my husband out the door to go to work, and I called him to share my dream. We immediately knew what God was showing us, that by keeping the TV in the house, and watching it, we were keeping the devil in the house, and by DOING SO, my children would be FED by it, and that truly scared us.

You feed your soul with what you see, and what you hear, and you feed your children's souls the same way. You cant keep Christ and evil in the same room. We will all be in front of our Creator one day, and God will ask me what I did with my life, and how I raised my children.

We repented of our sin, and threw our TV, along with any unchristian books or magazines that we had, or anything else that we could find, and freed our home from the grasp of the devil, and now know that its up to us to live our life how we choose so. But let me tell you, you cannot live for both masters, its either Holy, or evil.

This is a life long lesson for us, and I will forever remember the dream that I saw that morning, and how God gives us the chance to live for the better, to cleanse our souls, to reach our destination of eternal peace.

{this was a dream my sister Oksana has seen, and it really scared me, thats why I wanted to share this with everyone, maybe it will make someone else realize that what we  bring into our homes may not always be the best things for our soul and our childrens souls.}

The love so true-it hurts.

He loves me so much
He cheers me up when I am down
He knows my moods, my joys, my tears
He cares for me, takes care of all the things that I dont want to do myself
He forgives and forgets often
He laughs at me, and lets me laugh at him
He cares for our children
He is a strong wall where I can hide from this world
I know that he will support me, and help me with my mistakes and shortcomings
He is someone who I can ask questions and someone who listens to my answers
He is a gift from God.
But God is my true love
He knows my ways
He knows my faults
He knows my heart
He has created me
He has known me before I was born
He knows my future and my past
He lifts me up when I am down
He knows all the answers to all my questions
He knows all of my thoughts, my hopes, my wishes
He has forgiven me of all my sins, has died for me
He will come for me, when he will wipe every tear from my eye
He is the One
He is the Only
He is the Lover of my soul
His name is Jesus.
Lord and Savior.

Wild cactus.

My wild cactus is getting ready to bloom... but I believe it looks quite amazing right now too.
Like a flower star... fallen from heaven to bloom here on earth. Our God is an amazing creator... and made everything very beautiful and unique.

I love it God. Thank you for such loveliness. I see Gods love in every unopened petal.

Will you choose light or darkness?

Don’t let darkness blind you. I always thought that too much light can blind someone, but apparently darkness will do that to you as well. And then we don’t know where we are going, or what we are doing, and what is the purpose of life. We are blind to everything, to the beauty all around us, to the sin that lives in us, to the people that live around us, we only think about ourselves. Which makes our world narrow and confusing. Nothing can flourish in the darkness, not flowers, not birds. Everything needs light to function properly. To live we need the sun, the warmth, the healing power of God. I was wondering what if we are partly in the light and partly in the darkness, can we function like that? Well I don’t know… but I am sure God does know. And I sure hope we are not deceiving ourselves.

God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

Life or death?

A life began in darkness, a life snuffed out without regret, who will pay the price? The sadness engulfs me. How can people conceive a life and decide that it’s not something they can give birth to, and decide in a one day decision to take a pill to end a life? How can it be? Why are there some people who believe that it’s a nothing, it’s just a lump of tissue. How can it be? I told her that maybe she can have the baby and give it up for adoption. She said she can’t do that to her baby, will not be able to carry it for 9 months and then give it up. But it is much simpler to just let it go now? To just not even carry it, undeveloped, unlived… I am just emotional and upset about his little human life. So don’t mind me and my emotions. I just hope you are never in this situation to do this to your body and your baby. Life is life, no matter when you choose to end it.

When you choose the lesser of two evils, always remember that it is still an evil.

- Max Lerner

The sad truth is that most evil is done by people who never make up their minds to be good or evil.

- Hannah Arendt, author

Evil (ignorance) is like a shadow. It has no real substance of its own, it is simply a lack of light. You cannot cause a shadow to disappear by trying to fight it, stamp on it, by railing against it, or any other form of emotional or physical resistance. In order to cause a shadow to disappear, you must shine light on it.
